Can Khris Middleton continue leveling up for the Milwaukee Bucks?

While we’ve moved past his All-Star snub, Khris Middleton is reaching a critical part of his 2020-21 campaign.

The Bucks’ second star went through a slump during February for a handful of games, all of which coincided with Jrue Holiday’s COVID-related absence. While it’s affected his 50-40-90 pursuit, Middleton is averaging 20.4 points on .498/.428/.885 shooting, along with 6.1 rebounds and a career-high 5.6 assists.

Middleton’s life will certainly be made easier as Holiday has stepped back into his starting role and Middleton’s highly efficient, three-level scoring and unselfish playmaking has been the backbone to his success this season.

Maintaining that as the greater tests lie on the horizon for the Bucks is incredibly vital for Middleton as he looks to assert himself as a reliable performer when the Bucks need him most.

As he’s battled through his rough patches just as the team has overall, Middleton’s ability to rise up in the biggest moments will continue to be put to the test. Especially as the Bucks continue to rely on him in crunch-time situations and as the Bucks’ late-game offensive engine.
