Second buy low trade deadline candidate for the Milwaukee Bucks to consider: Danuel House Jr.

The Houston Rockets and the Bucks have been linked to one another for the past several months in trade rumors involving P.J. Tucker. However, Houston’s inconsistent asking price that could involve Milwaukee shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo makes him an unlikely target for the club. If Tucker is off the board, the Bucks could still look to bring in another Rocket in Danuel House.

House has been limited to just 22 games this season due to a nagging injury, which has hindered his production on the floor. In those games, the forward is averaging just 9.1 points .375/.312/.757 shooting splits, four rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. Those numbers are certainly not the most eye-catching, but when he gets back up to speed, House is someone that could help this Milwaukee team.

A former G League product, House has blossomed into a stellar two-way player for Houston entering his third year with the franchise. His most notable attribute is his 3-point shooting, connecting on 36.9 percent of his 5.2 attempts per game in that span. That floor spacing should not overshadow his efforts on the defensive end, as the 6″6′ forward is also a versatile option to throw at opposing wings.

That two-way play makes him an ideal fit for a team like the Bucks that could always stand to add more shooting and defensive specialists before the deadline. Making $3.7 million this season, House has a digestible salary for Milwaukee to make an offer for. Houston has not revealed an asking price for House or even alluded to his availability, but it is clear that they are looking to wipe the slate clean before the trade deadline.

Following their reluctant trade for James Harden, most of Houston’s roster, including P.J. Tucker, Victor Oladipo, and Eric Gordon, among others, have been mentioned in trade rumors. It seems feasible to believe that they would also be willing to part ways with House if they could get something out of it.
