How do the Milwaukee Bucks’ assets compare to the Indiana Pacers?

Last but not least, the Indiana Pacers are very much stuck in the middle following a hot start to the 2020-21 season. Indiana has slid to 17-21 at this point in the year, which has them clinging to the 10th seed that has them within the play-in zone for now.

What direction they go in or whether they ultimately stand pat is a big question at this time, especially as they’re getting back to full strength with the miraculous return of Caris LeVert and are $4.21 million away from entering the luxury tax.

Like Boston, the Pacers own all of their first rounders for the foreseeable future and have future second round picks in 2025 and 2026 by way of the Miami Heat that they could part with to grease the wheels on a deal. While they have a pair of trade exceptions at $4.79 million and $2.8 million, neither are are big enough to absorb Bjelica’s salary.

From there, the Pacers have some expiring salaries like Doug McDermott’s $7.3 million or T.J. McConnell’s $3.5 million that be used for salary matching. But both are rotation regulars for the Pacers and neither are best served to be with a Kings team that is currently far out from the play-in seeds.
