Bryn Forbes has a career night in the Milwaukee Bucks’ loss to Rockets

While there were very few positive takeaways from Milwaukee’s perspective in this contest, Bryn Forbes having a career night off the bench is something to admire.

Establishing a steady rhythm from the moment he checked in, Forbes scored a career-high 30 points as he continued letting it fly from start to finish. When the final buzzer sounded, Forbes had a highly efficient night shooting the ball outing by knocking down 11-of-17 shots from the floor and 6-of-10 from the perimeter. The guard played a pivotal role in Milwaukee’s comeback efforts down the stretch seeing a more prominent role by tallying just under 29 minutes in this one.

That was nearly eight more minutes than starting shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo, who had himself another awful game, scoring three points by hitting one of his five shots from the floor. DiVincenzo has had an April to forget, and his persisting struggles are certainly growing more worrisome with each passing game as the playoffs draw closer.

With DiVincenzo’s struggles reaching all-time levels, it would not come as much of a surprise if Forbes saw a much bigger role down the stretch as he did last night. While he undoubtedly does not possess the defensive presence that DiVincenzo does, the Bucks will need shooting in the backcourt, and Forbes is giving them far much more of that than the current starter.

Although there will likely not be a significant lineup change this late in the year, keep an eye on the minutes distribution between Forbes and DiVincenzo for the remainder of the season.
