Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 135-134 win over Washington Wizards

Starting backcourt delivers for the Milwaukee Bucks in win over Wizards
With Khris Middleton sidelined, the Bucks would need more production from elsewhere. That would typically mean a heftier workload for Antetokounmpo, but he got a massive lift from his teammates in the starting backcourt to alleviate some of that pressure.
Jrue Holiday put on a master class against Washington offensively, finishing with a team-high 29 points on 10-for-20 shooting (4-for-8 from 3-point range). The guard was scoring relentlessly throughout the contest, also getting his teammates involved by notching six assists. While his five turnovers cannot be ignored, there is no questioning Holiday’s positive impact in this matchup.
His big game overshadowed that of Donte DiVincenzo, who also helped pave the way for Milwaukee by scoring 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor. The guard did a bulk of his work from behind the arc, where he knocked down five of his eight attempts. Also handing out four assists, grabbing three rebounds, and snatching a single steals, DiVincenzo stuffed the stat sheet in a game that should heighten his confidence.
It is no secret that DiVincenzo has been struggling tremendously lately, and a performance like this could be just what he needed to find a steady rhythm moving forward.
DiVincenzo and the Bucks will look to stay hot as they carry over a four-game winning streak into Friday’s rematch with the Houston Rockets. That should be a great one after Milwaukee’s upset loss last week and you can catch the action at 7:00 p.m. CST on Bally Sports Wisconsin for those viewing locally.
