Milwaukee Bucks: 5 trends to watch for heading into final week of season
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s play has been a rising trend for the Milwaukee Bucks
As he’s fought off injury absences and scares, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on quite the tear to close out his eighth regular season with the Bucks.
That was certainly evident in the back-to-back series with the Nets that saw Antetokounmpo score a season-high 49 points in the Bucks’ first victory over Brooklyn last Sunday afternoon. While his efficiency dipped to 11-for-30 shooting in the second clash with the Nets, Antetokounmpo finishing with 36 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in nearly 37-and-a-half minutes of action is still remarkable stuff from the two-time MVP.
Antetokounmpo followed that up by being an assist and a rebound shy of recording what would have been his eighth triple-double of the season in the Bucks’ win over the Wizards, which was cut short after he fouled out late in the fourth quarter.
There are still some things for Antetokounmpo to clean up, whether it’s turnovers and offensive fouls. But certainly no Bucks fan can complain with where Antetokounmpo is at at this point in the Bucks’ season.
