The Milwaukee Bucks could face off against the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs

After having made quite the second half surge to ensure their playoff berth, the New York Knicks are left to fighting for the best seeding with three days remaining in the regular season.

New York has a 50.1 percent chance to finish with the sixth seed. And more importantly, the Heat hold the tiebreaker over the Knicks, which absolutely looms large going into the final weekend.

Of course, the Knicks have been one of the biggest feel-good stories throughout the year and clinched their first playoff berth in eight years earlier this week. They may very well have both the Coach of the Year in Tom Thibodeau and the Most Improved Player in Julius Randle, who have both been instrumental in ushering in this resurgence in the Big Apple.

It’s obviously propelled them to the postseason after a rather long drought, but time will only tell how it will all translate when the playoffs officially begin. And obviously the Bucks could very well decide what that path looks like if both should meet in the first round.

They’re not out of the woods yet either as the Knicks will finish up their season against the Charlotte Hornets and the Boston Celtics, both of which are slotted to be in the play-in tournament. With both games taking place on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, they may be of interest to the Bucks as they prepare to close out their own season.
