Jordan Nwora shines off the bench for the Milwaukee Bucks in loss to Bulls

The Bucks have primarily buried their 45th overall pick Jordan Nwora near the bottom of the rotation this season, but he saw a larger opportunity last night.

The rookie took advantage of the increased minutes by having the best game of his young career, scoring a career-high 34 points. Scoring and shooting the basketball were among Nwora’s strong suits heading into the NBA and he certainly showed it as he was extremely efficient on the evening by shooting 14-for-23 from the floor (4-for-8 from deep). His career night did not end there as he gathered 14 rebounds on the night as well.

Playing just under 36 minutes total, it was yet another game where Nwora flashed potential with more meaningful minutes in the primary rotation. While it might be too late to get the rookie acclimated into the rotation now, Nwora is proving that he could potentially be the steal of the 2020 NBA Draft. The sample size is unquestionably too small to verify that, but it is no coincidence that he continues producing at a high level in these opportunities.

As the youngest player on the roster, Nwora’s shooting and scoring abilities could potentially help him carve out a role on this team for the long haul if he continues improving.
