. Eastern Conference. MIAMI HEAT. D-. With the Heat in a 2-0 hole after losing both games in Milwaukee, many expected that the shift in homecourt advantage to Miami would help give them that spark they desperately needed. However, that was hardly the case as the Bucks were instead the ones that came out with the sense of immediate urgency from the opening tip. Miami’s biggest lead in this matchup grew to just two points, which came on their first made basket from Bam Adebayo. After the Bucks quickly reclaimed the lead, they never looked back as their lead eventually rose to 34 points at one point late in the fourth quarter.

It was another abysmal outing for Miami offensively as they struggled with their shooting by hitting 32-of-85 (37.6 percent) from the floor and just 9-of-32 (28.1 percent) from behind the arc for a grand total of 84 points. While Miami’s top tandem of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo found some rhythm after struggling throughout the first two games, the Bucks played pestering defense on the supporting cast that kept their contributions minimal. As bad as Miami’s offense was, they were not much better on the defensive side of the ball as the Bucks finished with 113 points. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra must now go back to the drawing board and devise a new plan before this do-or-die Game 4 on Saturday.
