Star players for the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns will be competing for their first-ever NBA title

It has been a long time since the Bucks or Suns have gotten the opportunity to compete for an NBA championship in the Finals.

After all, Milwaukee is back in the Finals for the first time since 1974, and Phoenix has returned after last appearing in the 1993 season. None of the players featured for either side in these NBA Finals have previously won a championship entering this series. Both teams have their share of household names that could finally add the ultimate piece of hardware to their resume by bringing home a championship in the 2021 NBA Finals and ultimately change their status forever.

For the Bucks, Antetokounmpo highlights this list. Despite all of his accomplishments achieved during the regular season, including two MVP awards, a Defensive Player of the Year honor, and many more, he is missing the ultimate glory in a championship ring. Antetokounmpo has never made any bones about how badly he wants to win it all in this city, which is why he inked the supermax extension. Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and the rest of the supporting cast are right there with him as they are hungry to try and bring the Larry O’Brien back to Milwaukee for the first and only time since 1971.

On the other hand, Chris Paul will be playing in his first Finals throughout his 16-year NBA career with this revamped Suns team. Like Antetokounmpo, Paul has been discussed heavily in the title conversation as to what winning one could do for his reputation in the modern NBA. Devin Booker, Paul’s running mate, is also undoubtedly looking to help bring this franchise their first title ever and add a ring to his finger after he was bombarded with pleas to leave Phoenix to contend elsewhere, much like Antetokounmpo faced before signing long-term in Milwaukee.
