How did the Phoenix Suns perform against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals?

The top priority in this game was slowing down the dynamic duo in the backcourt for the Phoenix Suns, and they could not do that. Chris Paul was electric by scoring 32 points on 63.2 percent field goal shooting while handing out nine assists. The floor general was calling for mismatches on Lopez, Portis, and practically anyone else on the floor to knock down jumper-after-jumper to bury any hope of a Milwaukee comeback. Meanwhile, Devin Booker was a different story as he would finish with 27 points on just 8-of-21 shooting, including 1-of-8 from deep. Those shooting numbers would suggest that the Bucks did solid work on him, but the guard earned himself 10 extra points from the free throw line. Some of those calls against the Bucks on Booker were undoubtedly controversial, as the whistle was all night, and it was grueling to watch him consistently head to the line. That was another big storyline as the Suns got a whopping 26 attempts from the stripe last night, knocking down 25 of them to their credit. Elsewhere, these two All-Stars got a massive lift from their man in the middle in Deandre Ayton, who finished with 22 points and 19 rebounds in what was simply a dominant display. Although they got some nice contributions from their supporting cast, it was undeniably the collective effort from this Big 3 that helped the Suns take Game 1 on their home floor.. . Opponent.
