The Milwaukee Bucks must improve their ability to capitalize on turnovers on the road vs. Phoenix Suns

Turning the ball over has been a prominent factor for both the Bucks and Suns, with both teams giving mixed results when it comes to capitalizing on the other’s mistakes.

During the brutal pair of opening matchups in Phoenix, the Bucks managed to score 26 points off 33 turnovers committed by the Suns. They certainly left some extra opportunities to put points on the scoreboard by failing to strike while the iron was hot, which they seemingly emphasized upon returning to Fiserv Forum. Back on their home floor, their point total off giveaways ballooned to 41, despite the Suns committing 22 turnovers in that two-game span, far fewer than they did back in Phoenix.

For the Bucks, this simply means taking advantage when they are fortunate enough to force turnovers by the Suns. Those extra points proved to be a massive boost to help Milwaukee claw their way back into this series by winning two straight, and it would certainly help their chances entering this pivotal matchup on the road.

In the bigger picture, the Bucks have been fantastic in creating turnovers this season as their opponents have combined for 279 giveaways these playoffs, with the next closest team having 231. Part of that plays into longevity as they are in their 21st game, but nevertheless, putting that peskiness to good use and forcing some action off turnovers would be a welcoming theme in this upcoming Game 5 on the road.
