The Milwaukee Bucks could pursue Avery Bradley in 2021 NBA Free Agency

The Bucks have reportedly had their eye on Avery Bradley for a long time, with the earlier reports surfacing during the 2020 offseason.

Bradley would ultimately sign with the Miami Heat but found himself on the Houston Rockets by season’s end after being involved in the Victor Oladipo trade. The veteran guard has a team-option worth $5.9 million that would see him stay with the Rockets for another year, but as reported by ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, he expects the front office to decline that option. It makes sense as the 30-year-old Bradley does not fit the team’s rebuilding timeline, and this would allow him to hit the market and take his talents to a contending team.

Already having reported interest in him, that is where the Bucks come in. This team will be looking to shore up their guard depth in the offseason as they face the reality that they could lose some key contributors, and Bradley would be a solid choice. The two-time All-Defensive honoree would bulk up this already formidable defensive unit, providing another solid perimeter man. Offensively, Bradley has shot a serviceable 36.3 percent on 3.6 attempts per game from 3-point territory for his career, spacing the floor nicely.

Bradley does have a recent injury history that could make him a gamble, but if the Bucks could finally secure him on a team-friendly deal, it would be a solid acquisition.
