Milwaukee Bucks: J.J. Redick remains unsigned in 2021 NBA Free Agency

Many forget that J.J. Redick had a quick cup of coffee with the Bucks during the 2012-13 season after coming aboard via trade.

The guard currently finds himself on the free agent market after the least productive season of his career, but the appeal is still there with the 15-year veteran. Redick has been among the best shooters in the NBA over his career, shooting 41.5 percent from the outside, and that prowess is something that almost every team could use. Following his down year and the fact that he just turned 37-years-old, teams are not jumping at the idea of signing Redick.

As he looks for a new home, several teams could use his sharpshooting, including the Bucks. Since Budenholzer took over, this team has embraced letting it fly from the outside consistency, and a shooter like Redick would help bolster that attack further. After all, the Bucks will be looking for a player to fill the role left behind by Bryn Forbes after he left in free agency. Jrue Holiday, a former teammate of Redick’s, is also on the record trying to recruit Redick to Milwaukee, so the idea is there. If he could regain his sweet-shooting, Redick would be a seamless fit for the Bucks as they aim to defend their title as champions.

Time will tell if Redick or any of these other Bucks find themselves on a roster for the 2021-22 season.
