Milwaukee Bucks: 3 players Giannis Antetokounmpo can learn from
Milwaukee Bucks — Giannis Antetokounmpo can learn something from four-time champion LeBron James
This may seem obvious, considering the resume of LeBron James and where he stands among the best players in the world. One could argue where he and Antetokounmpo rank amongst the best players in the association right now. However, argument aside, there is one thing that has always been admirable about James and his output.
It is exactly that; his energy. James is entering his 19th year in the NBA, and that is not a typo for a reason. Paying close attention to his game shows that he knows exactly when to expend the right amount of energy. No player is perfect, but “The King” sure is close.
There have been moments in the recent past, especially with Los Angeles, that James finds ways to conserve as much energy as possible for the final moments of big games. A game that comes to mind was against Dallas before the pandemic, an instant classic of LeBron turning it on after going at a steady pace for the first three quarters.
Giannis tends to go around 100 miles per hour all the time, and that has worked for his style. Looking towards his prime, figuring out the right amount of energy to use for each possession, especially in the regular season, will only help the Bucks’ chance in the postseason.
