Milwaukee Bucks: 3 takeaways from brutal 137-95 loss to Miami Heat

The Milwaukee Bucks struggle mightily to score the basketball in blowout loss to Miami Heat
Due to that slow start, the Bucks struggled to put points on the board in the first quarter. With just under three minutes left in the first quarter, Sandro Mamukelashvili stepped to the free throw line to give the team their sixth point of the quarter. That is not a typo. It was just that type of night for the Bucks as their first quarter woes continued and they could not throw a rock into the ocean for a majority of the contest. The team finished shooting a collective 32-of-84 (38.1 percent) from the field, including 12-of-42 (28.6 percent) from 3-point range. Poor shooting nights are bound to happen, especially when a team is without half of their roster.
No one that stepped on the floor for the Bucks impressed offensively, but there were two specific performances that stood out on the opposite side of the spectrum. Jordan Nwora’s effort was not the most eye-catching as he chipped in just 11 points on 3-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-6 from deep, in 26 minutes. The other was Justin Robinson, who scored five points on 1-of-7 shooting from the field. Due to the injuries to Milwaukee’s roster, these two will be given more prominent roles moving forward, and they must be prepared to step up. They did not exactly live up to the billing against the Heat, but they got some game reps, and it should only help moving forward.
As a team, these ugly scoring games will occur on occasion, especially early on. With many new faces coming into the lineup due to the assortment of injuries, it will be hard to build chemistry and get things flowing smoothly. It will be challenging for the Bucks to navigate that, but this is a championship team, adversity is nothing new to them.
