Looking at the Milwaukee Bucks roster as it stands is a deep team, but there are areas that could be improved.

One idea includes acquiring a backup big man behind Brook Lopez, and you can never surround Giannis Antetokounmpo with too many shooters. Trade speculations are always a hot topic of discussion among writers and fans alike and will swirl up until the last minute of the trade deadline. That said, let’s look at some players that the Bucks could dangle on the trade block to bolster or potentially upgrade their roster before the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline.

The Milwaukee Bucks could dangle Jordan Nwora in trade talks

The Bucks will have some time while Donte DiVincenzo remains sidelined with an injury sustained during the opening round of the playoffs last year against the Miami Heat to find out what they have in second-year player Jordan Nwora.

In the absence of DiVincenzo, Nwora will get plenty of playing time backing up the newly extended Grayson Allen. Now with Jrue Holiday missing time, we don’t know how long coach Budenholzer will hold out Holiday, but backup guards are in short order on the Bucks roster as it stands. After the Bucks traded Sam Merrill to the Grizzlies in the deal for Allen, Nwora is the lone remaining player on the Bucks from last year’s draft and is viewed by many as the prospect on the Bucks with the most potential.

The potential that Nwora showed during Summer League, preseason, and so far in heavy minutes during the absence of other key players is on display for other teams who may be looking for prospects to build around. Nwora is fully showing that he is a confident shooter, great athlete, and willing defender and rebounder. While his defense needs some polish, his athleticism has allowed him to make up for some lack of know-how in his young career, as evidenced by his blocking of Kevin Durant in the Bucks’ home opener against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.

If Nwora plays well, it could drive up his potential value. It could also lead to making another player expendable.
