Khris Middleton regains his shooting rhythm in Milwaukee Bucks’ win over the San Antonio Spurs

Although there was not a single Buck that impressed during Milwaukee’s gruesome loss to Miami, Khris Middleton specifically received criticism for his lackluster efforts. The forward finished with a subpar 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting, missing five of his six 3-point attempts. It was a contest that he and the rest of the fanbase wanted to forget about quickly, and he would need to get back on the right track against the Spurs. He did just that.

Middleton scored a game-high 28 points, having shot an efficient 52.9 percent from the floor. His efficiency was bogged down by another brutal shooting night from the outside, where he hit just two triples in seven attempts, but he made up for it in the mid-range. Middleton was practically automatic inside the arc, knocking down an array of shots to propel the Bucks to a win. Much like his teammate in Holiday, Middleton also struggled with turnovers as he logged six, but the good undeniably outshined the bad from his bounce-back performance.

With the vast amount of injuries to the roster, Middleton will be tasked with taking on a larger workload on the offensive end, and he did just that last night. The test now will be keeping his foot on the gas and helping the Bucks navigate through these issues.

Middleton and the Bucks will aim to keep the ball rolling when they take on the Indiana Pacers this Monday at 6:00 p.m. CST on Bally Sports Wisconsin.
