Which role player will step up for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Minnesota Timberwolves?

Due to the Bucks playing shorthanded for every game this season, it has put a stronger reliance on the role players having to step up and play a bigger role, especially so when the Bucks have been without both Brook Lopez and Jrue Holiday on their road trip.

We saw what happened when they didn’t get any significant production against the Heat from one of their non-stars, but in their three wins, it was someone new stepping up in each game whether it be Pat Connaughton, George Hill, or Grayson Allen’s big night against the Pacers.

Someone who could have a breakout game against the T’Wolves is Jordan Nwora, who has been getting more playing time than anticipated early on due to the vast assortment of injuries. He’s posted two double-digit scoring games and had a solid night against the Brooklyn Nets, but has tapered off a bit since then.

He’s shot just 26.7 percent from 3 in his last three games and hasn’t really gotten his scoring going, but has found other ways to impact the game with his playmaking and defense. That has earned the praise of his teammates and coaches, who are showing a tremendous amount of faith in the second-year wing.

He has been getting the opportunity to play and it’s a good sign that he’s still getting minutes despite not scoring, proving that he’s improving on the little things, and the coaches like what they see from him. Expect a big performance from him very soon.

Another under-the-radar role player who has stepped up? Thanasis Antetokounmpo has provided solid rotational frontcourt minutes at a time where the Bucks need it a ton. He may not put up the big point totals that the others do, but he has stepped up in other ways.

Despite the injuries, this has reinforced my belief that this is the deepest and best Bucks roster in decades.
