If you have been following along with Milwaukee Bucks news this season, you know that the team has been battling the injury bug.

Making sure that their players are 100 percent healthy is one thing that the organization has prioritized so far this season. The results haven’t been the most pleasing in terms of wins and losses, with the team currently sitting with a 3-4 record. During times like these, it is important to remember that health should be a priority because that is what will be important come playoff time. That being said, here are three players that have stepped up while the team fights through early-season injuries.

No. 1 – Grayson Allen has stepped up for the Milwaukee Bucks while they fight injuries

The Bucks acquired Grayson Allen in a trade this offseason because of a void at two-guard due to an injury to Donte DiVincenzo.

As a result, Allen has been the starting shooting guard for the team this season. He has been exactly what the Bucks had hoped he would be. After starting off slow in the team’s first three games, it appears that Allen is starting to settle into his new home. Over the last four games, Allen has made 44 percent of his 3-point shot attempts. When Bucks general manager Jon Horst made the trade to acquire Allen, the last four games is what he likely had in mind. It has come at a perfect time as well with the team being without so many key components.

After agreeing to a contract extension with the team before the season, it should not be expected that Allen’s recent performances are an anomaly. By tying him up for the long-term and not agreeing to an extension with DiVincenzo, it is likely that Milwaukee believes that Allen is their guy moving forward.

Allen has done a tremendous job giving the team what they need from him with so many players out. Hopefully, he can continue his current success when the missing pieces return as well.
