No. 2 – George Hill has stepped up for the Milwaukee Bucks while they fight injuries

George Hill is back for his second stint with the Bucks this season after returning to the team in free agency.

Hill doesn’t have numbers that will jump out at you, but that doesn’t mean that he hasn’t filled his role nicely. The veteran guard has done exactly what veteran guards are brought in to do.

Similar to Allen, Hill started the season out rather slow. Since then, he has started to look like the George Hill that we saw during his first stint in Milwaukee. This season, Hill has averages of 8.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists on 46.9 percent shooting from the field and 38.9 percent from behind the arc, respectfully.

His shooting percentages are down from the last time we saw him in a Bucks uniform, but it would be almost unfair to expect a repeat of what he was able to do in 2019-2020. Hill has still proven to be a viable point guard option, whether it be off the bench or in the role he’s in right now, filling in for the injured Jrue Holiday.

For the most part, you will be able to count on Hill to make the right play for your team, and this season is no different. He usually uses his veteran experience to his advantage by doing things such as slowing down the offense on the fast break when it is no longer there. Hill is a player that you will very rarely see force plays, and that is part of what will make him a key player on this team now and moving forward.

When an injury situation like what Milwaukee is currently going through arises, it’s always nice to have a veteran like Hill to turn to.
