Giannis Antetokounmpo takes over the fourth quarter for the Milwaukee Bucks in the win over Philadelphia 76ers

Without several key players available, Giannis Antetokounmpo has taken on a larger workload for the Bucks, and they needed every bit of him last night. As Milwaukee fought their way back into the game, things would always go south the moment he stepped off the floor to catch his breath. It was nearly disastrous for the Bucks, but Antetokounmpo had an incredible fourth quarter to make sure his team would not lose.

Entering the fourth, the Bucks trailed by two points as the 76ers had all the momentum after a big run to close the third quarter. Then Antetokounmpo intervened. The Greek Freak was sensational over the final 12 minutes, tallying nine points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Of course, it was Antetokounmpo that found Allen in the corner for his game-sealing triple, as those two continue to develop quite the chemistry in the early going this season.

Antetokounmpo finished with 31 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, and two huge blocks to stuff the stat sheet and lead his team to a win. It was an ugly start for Antetokounmpo as the 76ers hounded him all night long, with big man Paul Reed doing a great job defensively against him. He even had some words for Antetokounmpo after blocking one of his shots, but that was just poking the bear. Things certainly looked gloomy for Milwaukee heading into the final period as they had lost the lead, but the two-time MVP’s persistence quickly turned things around.

The Bucks will have little time to celebrate the win as they will be back in action tonight against the New York Knicks. These two teams battled it out less than a week ago, and Milwaukee will aim to even up the season series.
