Pat Connaughton continues showing he is the perfect role player for the Milwaukee Bucks with a fantastic performance versus the Orlando Magic

After making big play after big play in their title run, Pat Connaughton proved to be the most valuable role player on this Bucks roster. His redemption arc was sealed after the Bucks won their first title in 50 years, but Connaughton has still continued to build off of his strong playoff showing with his most impressive season to date.

Against the Magic, Connaughton was sensational off the bench by scoring 17 points while hitting 6-of-10 from the field, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Connaughton’s 17 points were good enough for the second-most on the team during the onslaught as he continues scoring the ball at an incredibly high level. He has become a beyond-reliable outside shooter for the Bucks, and they have given him the greenest of lights on a nightly basis. To his credit, he is knocking them down at a career-high rate, as evidenced by this outing against Orlando.

While his scoring was welcoming, Connaughton impacted the game far beyond putting the ball in the hoop, as he tends to do. The guard finished with six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and an emphatic blocked shot in nearly 22-and-a-half minutes of game action. He is the glue guy for this Milwaukee team off the bench, and last night’s win over the Magic was the perfect representation of the impact Connaughton has on this team.
