After going 2-3 on their first major road trip of the season, the Milwaukee Bucks returned home to Fiserv Forum for a five-game homestand.

Five consecutive games on their home floor proved to be just what the doctor ordered as the champs reeled off five straight wins, winning by an average of 15 points per game. The Bucks looked fantastic throughout the winning streak as they have catapulted up to sixth place in the Eastern Conference with an 11-8 overall record. They handled business over this stretch as they were supposed to, and here are three takeaways from the past five games.

The Milwaukee Bucks may have found their rhythm from 3-point range over their five-game homestand

The Bucks struggled to find any consistency from 3-point range to start the season, but playing back at home helped them find a groove. They shot 38.2 percent from deep over the homestand on 39.8 attempts per contest, helping spark the offense.

While it was an all-around effort, one Buck that shot the lights out from deep was Bobby Portis, who knocked down a blistering 60 percent of his triples in this stretch. Portis shot 18-of-30 from long range in this stretch, tying a career-high six made 3-pointers on two different occasions. The big man proved last season that he could be an efficient outside shooter, but he has turned it up a notch this season, especially over these past five games. More on his contributions in a moment.

Another player that shot the basketball incredibly well over the homestand was Pat Connaughton, who shot 15-of-31 from long range (48.4 percent). Given how well he has played this year overall, it should be no surprise that Connaughton has lit it up from the outside recently. He continues to be a pivotal piece for the Bucks off of the bench due to his versatility, rebounding, shooting, and so much more. This string of games will certainly help bump up his 3-point percentage in what has already been a career year thus far for the veteran.

George Hill, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Grayson Allen also all shot above 35 percent from long distance during the 5-0 run, which helped mightily. As evidenced by these numbers, the team has an abundance of great outside shooters, and hopefully, they can keep shooting the basketball this well as they hit the road.
