3 takeaways from Milwaukee Bucks’ commanding win over Indiana Pacers

Pat Connaughton and George Hill give the Milwaukee Bucks a significant spark off the bench in win over Indiana Pacers
With Khris Middleton struggling to find his shot for most of the game and Grayson Allen having another quiet game, the Bucks would need some support elsewhere. They would get that added boost from Pat Connaughton and George Hill, who were great off the bench.
Connaughton, who has been outstanding this year, kept the ball rolling as he chipped in 14 points on the night. Surprisingly, the guard had a poor night shooting the three, having knocked down just one in six attempts. That has been his bread and butter this season as he is enjoying a career year letting it fly, but he switched it up and shot a perfect 5-for-5 from 2-point range against Indiana. Versatility like that offensively from Connaughton is why he fits so perfectly for this Milwaukee team, and he proved it last night. He would also add seven boards, two assists, and a steal in just under 30 minutes of action.
Hill, the former Indiana Pacer, returned to his old stomping grounds and tallied 13 points, but it was not a strong shooting night for the guard. The veteran shot just 3-of-8 from the floor, which included 1-of-5 from distance. It was the free throw line where Hill did most of his damage as he hit a perfect 6-of-6 at the stripe. He was attacking all night, and although he struggled to get his shot to fall, it helped him get some freebies. Like Connaughton, Hill also stuffed the stat sheet by tallying six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 29 minutes.
Milwaukee’s bench production has been inconsistent this season, but Connaughton and Hill made sure to provide the proper support last night. They will be adding another to the “bench mob” after Cousins lands in town shortly.
Perhaps Cousins will make his Bucks debut in Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, where you can watch at 7:00 p.m. CST on Bally Sports Wisconsin.
