Grades for the Milwaukee Bucks at the quarter mark of 2021-22 season

Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Sandro Mamukelashvili
With Lopez injured, the Bucks gave a larger opportunity to rookie big man Sandro Mamukelashvili. After being selected 54th overall by the champs in the draft just months before, not many thought the Seton Hall product would see key rotation minutes early on, but circumstances forced them to throw him into the fire early. The 22-year-old struggled to make much of an impact early on, and no one could truly blame him. Playing 61 minutes this season, it is difficult to evaluate the rookie second-rounder playing with the pros straight out of the gate. When he was out on the court, he showed potential on the offensive end but also had his share of struggles defensively. Playing on a two-way deal, he was passable as the Bucks needed someone to give them some size in the frontcourt. The rookie is now down with the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee’s G-League affiliate, getting some good game reps, which is the best thing for him.

Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Georgios Kalaitzakis
Shortly after selecting Mamukelashvili, the Bucks would take Georgios Kalaitzakis with the 60th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Much like his fellow rookie, Kalaitzakis has not received much playing time this year as he has just 47 minutes under his belt. When he has gotten into games, mostly in mop-up duty, the rookie has shown some flashes of potential. Whether it be with his passing, his defense, or his scoring, Kalaitzakis has caught some attention. Because of his limited playing time, having played in just eight games thus far, it is obviously hard to hand him a grade. The rookie has also gotten some reps down with the Herd, and if he continues to show untapped potential, who knows what could happen.
