Grades for the Milwaukee Bucks at the quarter mark of 2021-22 season

Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Justin Robinson
Not many expected Justin Robinson to get much playing time for the Bucks after they brought him in on a two-way deal during the offseason. However, the Bucks were hit with backcourt injuries in the early portion of the season, which heightened Robinson’s importance as he was given a pretty prominent role off the bench early on. The guard has appeared in 16 games this season, and while his numbers in that timeframe are far from the flashiest, he oftentimes provided a spark when he checked in. It is hard to judge a two-way player that is seeing his first genuine opportunity as an NBA player, but given the circumstances, he was passable. Robinson was waived by the Bucks on Monday to make room for Javonte Smart, so his time in Milwaukee has come to an end. Best of luck to Robinson moving forward.

Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Rodney Hood
The Bucks’ signing of Rodney Hood in the offseason had potential written all over it. Although the veteran swingman was coming off the worst statistical season of his career, a change of scenery and a whole offseason to get healthy again seemed like the perfect recipe for him to bounce back. Unfortunately, that has not been the case, as Hood is having another down year. He is averaging a career-low 15.2 minutes while putting up 3.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. There was hope that Hood could provide an extra boost of offense in the second unit for the Bucks, but he has not had much success offensively this season. Hood’s playing time in the rotation has been hit or miss this year as he continues to struggle, and it remains to be seen whether he can find a groove.
