The Milwaukee Bucks could trade for Robin Lopez after December 15

Sticking with the center position, another entertainable trade target for the Bucks is Robin Lopez. Lopez has some familiarity within the organization as he played in Milwaukee during the 2019-20 campaign, and bringing him back would make sense due to the team’s current predicament in the frontcourt. Lopez would give the Bucks quality minutes at the position while his brother recovers from his recent back procedure.

The Bucks already know what Lopez brings to the table. He would give them a serviceable amount of scoring down low, good rebounding, and another hulking body to protect the hoop. Truly, that is all they need from someone like him. Given how up and down Cousins has been off the bench in his brief time with the Bucks this year, someone like Lopez could be viewed as an upgrade for the defending champs as they look to stay afloat at the position.

Lopez could likely be available as the Orlando Magic are currently embracing a youth movement. The big man has scarcely played this season, and it would make sense to move him as the Magic have more than enough talent at the position. Making an expiring $5 million this season, Lopez is an affordable trade target for the cash-strapped Bucks if they are looking to bolster the position. Although it seems like the Bucks might stand pat with Portis and Cousins splitting time with the center duties, someone like Lopez could be a feasible target if they change their mind.
