A trade that helps the Milwaukee Bucks land Mike Muscala

The OKC Thunder have shown over the past few seasons that they are willing to trade away the veteran pieces on their roster for the right return. That oftentimes revolves around getting some form of draft capital in exchange for the player involved, and the Bucks should look to strike up a deal for Mike Muscala. At 30-years-old, the Thunder could be open to trading him elsewhere to keep an emphasis on their youth, and it would make sense for contenders to target him.

In this proposal, the Bucks would acquire Muscala in exchange for Rodney Hood, Semi Ojeleye, and a second round draft pick. Hood has struggled to find his footing with Milwaukee thus far this year, and his $2.2 million salary this season could be useful when piecing together a trade. The same goes for Ojeleye, who is making $1.7 million and has struggled mightily this season. Muscala is on the books for $3.5 million this season, making him an affordable trade target. The inclusion of a draft pick here is what would get the wheels turning as OKC continues to hoard future picks.

Muscala would be an immediate boost for the Bucks. Not only would he provide a 6-foot-10 body to have out on the floor, but he is also a fantastic floor-spacer. The big man is currently shooting a career-high 44.3 percent from behind the arc on 3.8 attempts per game this season, lighting it up on a nightly basis. Given how much the Bucks rely on perimeter shooting, someone like Muscala would fit right in, especially in lineups alongside Antetokounmpo.
