A Christmas gift for each Milwaukee Bucks player this holiday season
Milwaukee Bucks: Pat Connaughton, DeMarcus Cousins, Donte DiVincenzo
Pat Connaughton: Not being hit in the face anymore
Things have gotten out of hand in the “Pat Connaughton keeps getting hit in the face” bit. In the words of DeMarcus Cousins, it’s getting ridiculous. It’s really ridiculous. I mean, what is this? How does this happen in an NBA game?

It feels like he’s being hit in the face once a game at least, but Garrison Mathews took it to another level the other night. So please, for the sake of Connaughton’s face, stop hitting him. He already began to develop a black eye during the game, what more do you want?
DeMarcus Cousins: A guaranteed contract
Perhaps the best gift that DeMarcus Cousins can receive aside from a championship ring, would be having his contract fully guaranteed by the Bucks when the deadline arrives in January. I explored whether Cousins has done enough so far to earn that guaranteed deal earlier this month, but since then, he has had some very good moments.
His importance cannot be overstated while the Bucks are missing every frontcourt player they came into the season with. He performed very well against the Houston Rockets and has a lot of value in certain matchups. It will come down to if the Bucks think they’ll need his services in those specific matchups down the road.
Donte DiVincenzo: A contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks
Perhaps this is wishful thinking on my end as I would very much like the Bucks to extend DiVincenzo. He has been a very good player the last couple of seasons and provides elements that a player like Grayson Allen doesn’t.
That being said, he is coming back from a relatively serious injury and there’s a lot we don’t know about how he’ll look once he returns. Many are speculating that he could be trade bait for the Bucks once trade season rolls around, but for now, it’s the holiday season (seriously, no pun intended) and I’m giving him a contract extension.
