A Christmas gift for each Milwaukee Bucks player this holiday season
Milwaukee Bucks: George Hill, Jrue Holiday, Rodney Hood
George Hill: A championship ring
This could apply to any of the Bucks who weren’t on the team last season, but for Hill, in particular, you have to feel for him. He has experienced nearly 140 playoff games and has yet to win a championship.
He’s had long playoff runs but nothing to show for it and then right as he leaves the Bucks, they win the championship. The 35-year-old likely doesn’t have many high-level seasons left in him, so it would be nice to see him get a ring more than most of the guys on this Bucks team.
Jrue Holiday: An All-Star appearance
It’s almost hard to believe that Jrue Holiday only has one All-Star selection in his career, but it’s true. The lone All-Star nod came back in 2012-13 when he was 22 years old and in his fourth NBA season.
Since then, it’s been a lot of great play without a lot of honors and awards to show for it. That needs to end this season as Holiday has really found a groove in his last 15-plus games and is firmly in the All-Star conversation. He has had to carry the Bucks in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton at times, so it would be good to see Holiday be rewarded.
Rodney Hood: His old self back
If I want Hill to get a ring the most on the Bucks, Hood is right up there for number two. He’s had such a tough career in regards to injuries, the worse of which being the torn Achilles he suffered a couple of years ago.
Since then. Hood hasn’t been the same player and we’ve seen that this season. There are glimpses and flashes of what he used to be, but he hasn’t put it together consistently. He’s in a battle with Semi Ojeleye, Wesley Matthews, and Jordan Nwora for reserve minutes on the wing, but he may be losing it to the latter two.
