The holidays are here and the Milwaukee Bucks have plenty to celebrate. While the Bucks got the best present of them all last July after bringing home the NBA title, there are still a few things they should have circled on their Christmas wishlist today. With that being said, let us dive right into the gift-giving and pick out a few presents that would be great for the defending world champions.
A Christmas Day win over the Boston Celtics should be on the Milwaukee Bucks’ wish list
In what has become tradition over the past few seasons, the Bucks will be playing on Christmas. They will welcome the Boston Celtics to town this year in what should be a thrilling matchup of Eastern Conference contenders. If the two games that these two teams have already played this season are any indicator of how things might go, there are bound to be some fireworks.
The Celtics have given the Bucks trouble this season by defeating them in both meetings. The first was a 122-113 overtime game in Boston on November 12, where a shorthanded Milwaukee team could not survive a wild 38-point eruption from Dennis Schröder, despite some clutch heroics from Grayson Allen. The two met up once again on December 13, where Celtics wing Jayson Tatum put on a show by scoring 42 points to lead Boston to a convincing 117-103 victory.
In what will be the third meeting of the season between the Celtics and Bucks, the latter should have no shortage of motivation to not fall behind 0-3 in the regular season series. Not only are they playing at home on Christmas, but this team has had the Bucks’ number this season. There has been some history between these two teams over the past few years, and that will continue as they square off later today. A win against one of their rivals would surely be a great present, so be sure to catch the action at 1:30 p.m. CST on ABC.
