3 takeaways from Milwaukee Bucks’ shameful loss to Detroit Pistons

Jrue Holiday’s heroics were not enough to will the Milwaukee Bucks back into the game against the Detroit Pistons
Arguably the biggest bright spot over the past month for the Bucks has been the strong play from Jrue Holiday. The point guard has performed so stellarly recently that he is earning his fair share of All-Star chatter with the big game approaching. Holiday certainly increased his chances with yet another outstanding game last night, but it unfortunately came in a loss.
Holiday did everything in his power to try and carry the Bucks to victory by scoring 29 points on an efficient 11-of-19 field goal shooting. This included scoring nine straight Milwaukee points to end the third quarter and pull the Bucks to within two points entering the final period. In addition to attacking the rim throughout the matchup, Holiday proved to be Milwaukee’s only bright spot from 3-point range as he buried four in eight attempts. One of those was a clutch triple with under one minute to play that brought the Bucks within five. His scoring performance was just outstanding. Along with his 29 points, Holiday stuffed the stat sheet by pulling down five boards, dishing out five assists, and snatching two steals.
After a tough start to the season, Holiday has found his stride and then some with the Bucks over the past several weeks. He is playing incredible basketball, and it would be a travesty if he is not a lock to be an All-Star this season. With Middleton and Allen struggling recently, Holiday has done his part to step up, and the results speak for themselves.
The Milwaukee Bucks will look to get back on the winning track this Wednesday as they take on the Toronto Raptors. Be sure to catch the action at 7:00 p.m. CST on Bally Sports Wisconsin.
