No.1 – Justin Holiday fits the schemes of the Milwaukee Bucks

Initially, Justin Holiday would immediately fit into the system and schemes of the Milwaukee Bucks as a versatile wing that can shoot the ball at an efficient rate from 3-point range and defend multiple positions.

Milwaukee has become accustomed to letting it fly from three and switching more defensively under head coach Mike Budenholzer, and Holiday has made a career out of his lethal 3-point shooting and stable defensive mechanics.

Holiday is currently averaging 11 points on 37.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc this season. He’s been a consistent producer that has been lighting it up as of late, including an outstanding outing against the Phoenix Suns where the sharpshooter dropped 25 points, four assists, three blocks, two steals, and drained seven threes.

The 32-year-old’s experience in his role could provide value to the Bucks, especially in the postseason. Milwaukee could benefit from added depth at the wing position and could use another scorer off the bench that aligns with their core philosophies.

Justin Holiday certainly fits that description. If the Milwaukee Bucks were to acquire his services, he’d be an impactful piece within the rotation and his presence would open up more lineup opportunities as well.

For example, when the Bucks decide to switch one through five defensively, which they have had success with in the past, especially with Giannis Antetokounmpo at center and in late-game scenarios, Justin Holiday would strengthen those lineups as a multi-positional defender.

He’s got excellent awareness, versatility, length, and strength that seems to run in the Holiday family. Imagine a Bucks lineup of Jrue Holiday, Justin Holiday, Wesley Matthews, Khris Middleton, and Giannis Antetokounmpo on the floor.

Based on his skill set and efficient abilities that would fit right into the traditional schemes of the Milwaukee Bucks, Justin Holiday would be an ideal trade candidate to pursue.
