3 more trade packages to help the Milwaukee Bucks land a backup center

A trade to help the Milwaukee Bucks acquire Richaun Holmes
There are few trade options for the Bucks that would be better than Richaun Holmes. According to James Ham of The Kings Beat (subscription required), the Sacramento Kings have made the center available in trade talks leading up to the deadline. The Bucks should make a spirited run at the big man as he could be just what they are looking for on the trade market.
Holmes is having another solid season with the Kings by averaging 12.3 points on an incredibly efficient 69.7 percent from the field while also tallying 8.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game. With numbers like that, he checks nearly all of the boxes for Milwaukee. While he does not have a 3-point shot in his game, Holmes could still provide scoring close to the hoop to bolster the team’s lackluster scoring numbers. The 6-foot-10 big man would also add much-needed rim protection to help protect the paint while also hauling in boards.
While the center would be an ideal target for the Bucks, putting together a trade package to bring him in is easier said than done. After all, Holmes is in the first year of a four-year deal worth $46.5 million, and his $10.4 million salary this season is somewhat tough to tackle. However, the Bucks could piece together a package that includes Donte DiVincenzo, Hood, Ojeleye, and a second round pick to try and gauge the Kings’ interest. Sacramento is a known fan of DiVincenzo, as they traded for the guard previously in that 2020 Bogdanovic debacle before it fell through. If that interest is still there, perhaps the Kings would be willing to move the big man for a DiVincenzo-centered deal.
No matter the case, the Bucks should inquire about Holmes, particularly with rumors swirling that he is indeed available in trades and their current uncertainty with Lopez.
Keep an eye on these potential trade targets for the Milwaukee Bucks.
