Clutch Points’ Proposed Trades: #3 – Milwaukee Bucks add Tyrese Haliburton

This deal comes in at the third-best trade proposed for the Milwaukee Bucks for a few reasons. While I love the idea of bringing the Wisconsin native Tyrese Haliburton to play for the Bucks, the cost is likely going to be too high. Clutch points did cite the fact that the Bucks and Kings have had trade discussions, but who those discussions have centered around is unclear.

Tyrese Haliburton would slot in behind Jrue Holiday and would give the Milwaukee Bucks second unit an edge similar to what Bucks fans were used to with Malcolm Brogdon, some scoring, good passing, a few rebounds, and timely defense. Haliburton is currently averaging 14.3 points, 7.2 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. I would be excited if the Milwaukee Bucks could pull this trade off and would expect them to turn around and dangle a guy like George Hill out to attempt to grab another big man, whomever that may be.

Clutch Points’ Proposed Trades: #2 – Milwaukee Bucks add Robert Covington

NOTE: Robert Covington was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.

Doing this deal with Portland would have attacked some of the Milwaukee Bucks’ depth at guard and at wing positions and would still leave the Bucks wanting another big man and needing to acquire a backup point guard with limited options to do so.
