The Milwaukee Bucks got off to a great start in their West Coast road trip, but there’s no rest for the defending champs as their back at it again tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Milwaukee is 4-2 against the “other” Los Angeles squad in the last three seasons, but lost by 24 in their last game at Staple- I mean, Crypto.com Arena. The Clippers will be relatively rested, but are adding a pair of new rotation pieces after making a five-player deal with the Portland Trail Blazers a couple of days ago.

This is a tough way to start a road trip and a tough way to start a big month for the Bucks, but they’ll be going for their third straight win and fourth in five games against a Clippers team missing its stars.

How will noted “Bucks Killer” Norm Powell perform?

You can run, but you can’t hide from Norm Powell, Bucks fans.

There was probably a sigh of relief when they found out that they wouldn’t have to play Powell to begin their road trip… until they realized it was only pushed back a day and they’ll likely see him tonight.

Not only will he have the added motivation of playing the Bucks for the first time this season, but also wants to make a good first impression for his new team. That’s a bad combination!

In all seriousness, it will be an interesting test against the new-look Clippers after adding Powell and Robert Covington for next to nothing. They won’t have their two most important players, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, but the Clippers have still managed a 0.500 record at 27-27 without them for most of the year.

Powell will give them another outlet to help improve their bottom 10 offense and both players will strengthen a defense that is one of the best in the league and has been the anchor of their 0.500 record.

They play hard and, as the Washington Wizards saw when they blew a 35-point lead, are never going to give up. On a night where they’ll be a bit more tired, despite getting some extra rest because of the blowout, this could be a fun game.
