It is no secret that the Milwaukee Bucks could use a center before the 2022 NBA Trade Deadline. Milwaukee’s center depth has been depleted all season, and Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer noted recently that the Bucks are doing their due diligence on the trade market for a big man before the trade deadline this Thursday.

One name that has been a popular pick in hypothetical trades for the Bucks is Mike Muscala of the OKC Thunder. Given OKC’s tendency to trade away their veteran pieces over the past few seasons, many believe that the 30-year-old Muscala could be out the door before the deadline. While that is just speculation right now, Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz recently proposed a trade that would see the Bucks acquire the veteran if he is available.

To match what remains of Muscala’s $3.5 million salary this season, the Bucks could send out a pair of expiring contracts in Rodney Hood ($2.2 million) and Semi Ojeleye ($1.8 million). That duo alone would undoubtedly not be enough to pry Muscala away from the Thunder, but the inclusion of a second round pick makes this particular proposal an interesting one for both organizations. With the trade deadline just two days away, it would be compelling to see the champs potentially push for a move like this.

With all that being said, let us take a closer look at this trade proposal by breaking down the logic, the lunacy, and the overall verdict on this deal proposed by Swartz.
