Jrue Holiday had himself a bounce-back game following Saturday’s blunder with the Milwaukee Bucks
Circling back to Jrue Holiday, the guard needed to have a big night following his tough night against the Nets this past weekend. While his numbers looked good by scoring 19 points and handing out seven assists, the guard logged seven turnovers as well, which certainly did the Bucks no favors in their disappointing loss. This would be his opportunity to bounce back, and he unquestionably did.
Offensively, it was a tough night for Holiday to start as he could not get anything to drop early on. However, he flipped the switch immediately after finding a groove from downtown, hitting five of his seven shots from distance. In fact, most of his damage came from 3-point range as the guard only hit two shots from inside the arc all night, which was uncharacteristic. Nevertheless, it was welcoming to see Holiday let it fly with confidence and see the results pay off.
Another eye-catching statistic was that Holiday tallied zero turnovers throughout his 25 minutes of game action. The floor general looked much more in control of the basketball, not turning it over with sloppy or ill-advised passes. Instead, his facilitating was on point as he dished eight assists to his teammates, having made sure to get everyone involved in the action. Turnovers have proven to be a problem for Holiday at various points this season, but last night’s performance was special as he kept the basketball on a string from start to finish.
Holiday’s impact was written all over the stat sheet here, highlighted by his +/- of +30, the highest on the Bucks last night. When he is playing this well, the Milwaukee Bucks are tough to beat.
