Grayson Allen will be a player of interest in Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 3 matchup versus Boston Celtics

When Grayson Allen has played well throughout these playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks have often followed. That is not to say that Allen is the driving force behind the team’s success, but it is not controversial to say that he can undoubtedly give this team a massive spark off the bench when given the opportunity. In Milwaukee’s Game 1 win, Allen scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting as he buried three triples to give the team a huge lift. However, in Game 2, Allen had a quiet night by scoring just five points while heaving just one 3-point attempt. Considering the team shot an awful 3-of-18 from three in Game 3, Allen needs to be more involved offensively early on.

The best way to get Allen going is to pair him with Giannis Antetokounmpo as often as possible. Through the first two rounds of the playoffs, Allen has shot a red-hot 10-of-13 from distance off passes from Antetokounmpo. These two have had a special connection offensively all season, and they should look to get it going in this series. With Boston’s defense focusing on Antetokounmpo, Allen will have his share of wide-open looks on the perimeter, and the Greek Freak must find him rather than force tough shots as he did in the first half of Game 2. While efficient scoring from the two-time MVP could be the biggest key for the Bucks, Antetokounmpo’s playmaking, especially with Allen, could make a world a difference in this series.

After two hit-or-miss games to begin the series, it will be fascinating to see how Grayson Allen comes out in Game 3. It would be welcoming to see the sharpshooter knock down a few triples in the opening quarter to get himself going on the offensive end, particularly if they come courtesy of Antetokounmpo’s pristine passing. The guard must look to bounce back after a quiet Game 2 that saw him shoot just one 3-pointer. Allen having a big game versus a quiet game could be a massive factor in Game 3, and it will be captivating to see which version of the guard comes to play.
