The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics faced off again Monday night in Milwaukee after a hard fought game 3. After a series split in Boston the Bucks were looking to take a 3-1 lead back to Boston but came up short.. Boston regained their home court advantage by winning a road game and it is now a best of three series. Let’s grade the performances.

Grades from the Milwaukee Bucks Rough Game 4 Loss: Second Unit

Second Unit: C+

Pat Connaughton really kept this group afloat in game 4, scoring 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting and grabbing seven rebounds with a steal and a block. Hopefully the hand injury he seemed to sustain late in the game isn’t serious. The Milwaukee Bucks will need him in game 5 on Wednesday.

George Hill played more effectively than he did in Saturday’s game 2, scoring five points by hitting the only shot he took, a 3-pointer, and making both free throws he took. Hill was also Mike Budenholzer’s primary defensive substitute late in the game which left a lot of fans clamoring for Jevon Carter despite Hill playing decent defense.

My main concern for the second unit is Bobby Portis. Mike Budenholzer used Bobby Portis less adjusting to Boston’s smaller lineup, earlier this series and since Khris Middleton’s absence, Budenholzer has had Portis in the starting lineup, since the switch to Grayson Allen, Portis is shooting 5-for-16 and 1-for-5 behind the 3-point line.
