5 trade targets for the Milwaukee Bucks during 2022 NBA offseason

Kelly Oubre Jr. should be a trade target for the Milwaukee Bucks
Kelly Oubre Jr. is another player that the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly expressed some interest in over the past year. According to SNY’s Ian Begley, the Bucks were among a handful of teams that expressed interest in signing the forward while he was a free agent last offseason. He ended up signing with the Charlotte Hornets, but the Bucks should kick the tires on his potential availability this offseason, as he would be a significant addition to this team.
The 26-year-old has quietly posted some impressive numbers over the past three seasons as he has averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. Offensively, Oubre could bring a much-needed scoring boost off the bench for the Bucks, something they sorely lacked throughout the 2021-22 season. Defensively, the 6-foot-7 forward is exactly what Milwaukee could use on a nightly basis, giving head coach Mike Budenholzer an incredibly versatile piece that can defend a litany of different positions. Simply put, Oubre checks off all the boxes on both ends for a Bucks team that legitimately needs help on the wing.
If the Hornets are willing to listen to offers for Oubre, the Bucks would have to put together a deal that would allow them to take in his $12.6 million salary for next season. That is a feasible number for a player like Oubre, and not only would adding him help Milwaukee improve on both ends, but it would also inject some youth into the roster. He would be a perfect fit, and although there are some question marks regarding his potential availability in trade talks, the Bucks should make an aggressive run at him.
