3 Milwaukee Bucks’ trade targets worth their first round pick in NBA Draft

Buddy Hield would be worth the Milwaukee Bucks’ first round pick in a trade this offseason
From Wesley Matthews to Donte DiVincenzo to Grayson Allen, the Milwaukee Bucks have failed to find a consistent starting two-guard over the past few years. That may very well be the case once again this offseason, and if so, one player they should target is Buddy Hield of the Indiana Pacers, as he would be a significant addition to this roster on impact.
There are few players in the NBA that would fit better in Milwaukee’s 3-point powered offense than Hield would. The Bucks have often lived and died by the three, and a player like Hield, who has hit 39.8 percent of his career triples on 7.6 attempts per game, would make them all the more lethal on that side of the basketball. Among the most significant reasons why the Bucks could not get it done in the playoffs this year was their inability to generate offense, particularly from long range, and adding Hield would help alleviate that problem immediately. Pairing Hield with a passer like Giannis Antetokounmpo would be a perfect match as these two would thrive off one another on the offensive side of the basketball.
As for Hield’s potential availability, The Athletic’s Shams Charania (subscription required) reported recently that rival executives expect the Pacers to be open to dealing him. Although taking on the $20.5 million on Hield’s deal for next season would make things difficult for the Bucks to pull off a trade, they have the assets to do so. If the Pacers want the Bucks to include their first round pick in a trade, as a rebuilding team likely would, the latter should be willing, given just what Hield can bring to this team on the offensive end. He would be the perfect shooting guard for this team, and it will be interesting to see whether or not the Milwaukee Bucks express interest this offseason.
Stay tuned to see what the Milwaukee Bucks ultimately do with their 2022 first round selection.
