Best options for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2022 NBA Draft: Justin Lewis, Marquette Golden Eagles

Justin Lewis could be a great pick for the Milwaukee Bucks with the 24th overall selection.

I was really impressed by the way he played in his second season with the Marquette Golden Eagles. Lewis is a 6-foot-7 forward who can score on the inside, face up for the mid-range, or knock down a three. He posted averages of 16.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and almost two assists per game while shooting 44 percent from the floor, 34.9 percent from three, and 76.1 percent from the line, which is pretty darn good for a power forward.

Lewis could offer the Milwaukee Bucks production at either forward spot. Obviously, playing with Giannis Antetokounmpo warrants a lot of wide-open 3-point looks, which Justin Lewis can knock down. The story here is whether Lewis is available on draft night. He is still undecided on whether he will go back to Marquette or enter this year’s draft. With the production he had last season and all the combine invites he received, I think Lewis will go ahead and enter this year’s draft.

The athleticism and shot-making of Lewis could translate into some big-time play in Milwaukee’s rotation. Another plus is that Lewis played college ball in Milwaukee already. Out of all the options available in the 24 range, Lewis definitely showed the rawest skill as a college player, and the way he got his buckets will translate to the next level.
