3 interesting Milwaukee Bucks’ trade targets with ties to Grayson Allen

Throughout his first four years in the association, Grayson Allen has had stops with the Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, and Milwaukee Bucks.
In that timeframe, the guard has played with an assortment of intriguing players, several of which could be enticing additions to his new team in Milwaukee. As the Bucks look to retool their roster this offseason, perhaps they could look into making a run at some of these former teammates to strengthen their personnel ahead of next season. With that said, let us look at three trade targets with ties to Grayson Allen worth pursuing for the Bucks.
Justise Winslow could be a trade target for the Milwaukee Bucks
In addition to being teammates on the Memphis Grizzlies, Grayson Allen and Justise Winslow go back even further as they shared the floor at Duke during their college days. The two have played together on several occasions, and perhaps the Milwaukee Bucks could look to reunite them once again, as the 26-year-old could be an interesting piece to bring aboard due to Milwaukee’s current roster needs following their second round playoff exit.
Two priorities for the Bucks this offseason will be adding more wing depth and finding a small ball power forward, both of which Winslow could provide some relief in. Standing at 6-foot-6, 218 lbs, Winslow is capable of playing either forward position, which would give Milwaukee much-needed versatility, something they lacked throughout the 2022 playoffs. Winslow could particularly make the Bucks even more dangerous when they go to their small lineups with Giannis Antetokounmpo at the center position by bringing some reputable defense at the power forward spot.
Looking at Winslow’s game, he would be a great addition to strengthen Milwaukee’s defense due to his ability to guard multiple positions at a high level. Having hauled in 5.1 rebounds per game in his career, he would provide some assistance on the glass as well. The questions with Winslow are on the opposite side of the floor, as he has never been known for his offense, specifically when it comes to shooting the long ball. Winslow has buried just 31.5 percent of his triples in seven NBA seasons, which could be problematic for a Milwaukee team that relies heavily on their 3-pointers.
While Winslow is far from a seamless fit, he could certainly be an interesting target, and his salary for next season makes him all the more enticing. The forward will be on the books for $4.1 million in 2022-23, putting him well within Milwaukee’s range compared to other possible trade targets. If the former 10th overall pick is available, the Bucks should give the Portland Trail Blazers a call to kick the tires on acquiring him to bulk up their efforts defensively for cheap.
