What player archetypes should the Milwaukee Bucks target in 2022 Draft?
Archetypes the Milwaukee Bucks should target: “Let’s Get Weird”
One of my favorite things about the draft are the guys who are total mysteries. Sure, part of my love for this type of player comes from being a Giannis Antetokounmpo fan, but there is something so fascinating about people who have incredibly awkward skill sets that either end up a top 10 player or the sixth man for a mid-tier team in the Bulgarian second division.
This is what the draft is all about, a constant weighing of risks and rewards that people will retrospectively judge as if anything other than dumb luck was the reason a player did or didn’t work out. Do you pick the guy who you know will give you 10 a night and league average defense? Or do you pick the wildcard that could potentially get you fired or make you look like a genius?
The Bucks are probably in a place where they should be looking to fill the team with inexpensive role players who can complement their stars, which is why this is the last slide. Yet, what could be more valuable than if Pat Baldwin gets to a team and turns into Paul George? What if Nikola Jovic lives up to a guy whose name is remarkably similar to Nikola Jokic? It is a massive risk, but if it works, it would be infinitely more valuable than a lot of the other guys available here and would assist in opening the Milwaukee Bucks title window a little bit wider.
