With NBA free agency right around the corner, the Milwaukee Bucks will have their eyes set on strengthening the supporting cast around Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday as they seek a return to the summit of the league.

While Bobby Portis should be the main priority for the Bucks with other pending free agents such as Wesley Matthews and Jevon Carter hopeful to be maintained, Milwaukee will have plenty of options to fill out the roster for the 2022-23 season. Although, due to the organization’s lack of financial flexibility as a luxury tax team, don’t expect the Bucks to land the hottest names on the market.

Instead, the Milwaukee Bucks could be looking for low-cost, high-reward candidates or other targets that are more on the undervalued side. Let’s dive into three potential free agents for the Bucks that are flying under the radar.

3 under-the-radar free agents to pursue for Milwaukee Bucks – 1. Mike Muscala

Initially, center Mike Muscala could be an under-the-radar free agent target for the Milwaukee Bucks. As a 6’10 big man, Muscala is an efficient shooter that can space the floor offensively and become a legitimate offensive threat.

He’s not the most desirable defender, but his offense is where he’ll continue to provide value in this league. Last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Muscala shot 42.9 percent from 3-point range.

The 30-year-old sharpshooter is tall enough to play the center position, but he’s really a stretch four that’s clearly efficient from the perimeter. The Bucks could value another big man that can shoot lights out from behind the arc.

OKC declined the $3.5 million team option on Mike Muscala, making him an unrestricted free agent. If Muscala doesn’t sign a larger deal to remain with the Thunder, the Bucks could have a chance at landing him on a bargain deal.
