3 sharpshooting free agents to pursue for Milwaukee Bucks
3 sharpshooting free agents to pursue for Milwaukee Bucks – 2. Patty Mills
Another veteran guard, Patty Mills could be a free agent sharpshooter for the Milwaukee Bucks to pursue. According to multiple reports, Mills declined his $6.2 million player option with the Brooklyn Nets for next season and will become an unrestricted free agent.
It’s still a possibility that Mills returns to the Nets, but many contending teams should be interested in the Australian combo guard, including the Milwaukee Bucks. If Mills decided the drama surrounding the Brooklyn Nets was more than he wanted to deal with, he could look to sign elsewhere.
The 33-year-old sharpshooter averaged 11.4 points per game while shooting 40.0 percent from beyond the arc last year. Patty Mills has always been an efficient outside scorer as a 38.9 percent career 3-point shooter and contributes with playmaking and veteran leadership as well. Mills has plenty of championship experience as well from his long stint with the San Antonio Spurs.
The Bucks could offer Patty Mills their full taxpayer mid-level exception worth north of $6 million annually. As a valuable rotation piece that can flat-out shoot, Mills should certainly be on Milwaukee’s shortlist entering free agency.
