Grading Pat Connaughton’s three-year extension with Milwaukee Bucks

An overall grade on Pat Connaughton’s extension with the Milwaukee Bucks
Anyone that understands how important Pat Connaughton has been to the Milwaukee Bucks in recent memory has to love this signing. Connaughton will now continue to be a pivotal piece off Milwaukee’s bench, and he will do so on a very team-friendly deal over the next several seasons.
Connaughton’s role has rapidly increased over the last three years, as has his production in many of the statistical categories. With a well-defined role in the rotation, the guard should continue to improve and produce at a high level for the Bucks. At 29-years-old, Connaughton still has room to grow moving forward and can be a key piece for years to come, so getting him secured on such a deal is a no-brainer for the Bucks.
Connaughton’s journey with the Bucks over the past few seasons has been quite the wild ride, to say the very least. Fans wanted the guard gone after he had a subpar playoff run in 2020, only for him to win them all back the following season after playing a key part in their 2021 title run. Now, fans are rejoicing that he is set to stick around in Milwaukee for the next several years. Hopefully Connaughton’s story with the Bucks is far from finished at this point.
BTBP Grade: A+
