Jrue Holiday is about to enter his third season with the Milwaukee Bucks. Holiday has been tremendous for the Bucks in his first two seasons, including being the piece that completed Milwaukee’s championship puzzle in 2021. Since arriving in Milwaukee, Holiday has shown why he is considered one of the game’s best two-way players. Holiday looks to continue his success from his first two Bucks campaigns, and here are three bold predictions as he looks to do so.

Bold prediction No. 1: Jrue Holiday will average 20 points per game for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2022-2023

Holiday has yet to reach the 20 points per game mark in Milwaukee, but as the old saying goes, the third time is the charm.

How the Bucks are designed is much in favor of Milwaukee’s secondary players getting open looks. Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the team’s primary option. Still, the team has done a great job creating good spacing around Antetokounmpo, allowing other players to get open looks when he kicks out.

Not having to be one of the primary options in Milwaukee has certainly helped Holiday’s efficiency. Behind Antetokounmpo and sometimes Khris Middleton, Holiday has put together the two best shooting seasons of his career in percentages.

Being the third option for the Bucks on most nights, Holiday usually doesn’t have as many opportunities as Antetokounmpo or Middleton might get. However, Holiday has shown throughout his Bucks tenure that he is capable of having big scoring nights when the opportunity presents itself to him. The only thing standing in Holiday’s way is his volume.
